CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

The broad objective of this study is to investigate the Effectiveness of Soul Wining on Church Growth In Nigeria. The specific objectives include:

1. to examine the role of Soul Wining in towards Church growth in
2. to find out the ways in which Churches in Nigeria evangelize to the people.
3. to investigate the effects of Soul Wining in the growth of Churches in in Nigeria.

 1.4   Research Questions

The following research questions were stated in line with the research objectives:

1. What is the role Soul Wining towards Churches growth in Nigeria?
2. In what ways do Churches in Nigeria evangelize to people?
3. to what extent will Soul Wining affect the growth of the Churches in Nigeria?

1.5   Research Hypothesis

The following hypothesis was used for the study:

H_O: There is no significant relationship between Soul Wining and Churches growth in Nigeria

H₁: There is significant relationship between Soul Wining and Churches growth in Nigeria

 1.6   Significance of the Study

There are several reasons why it’s important to examine the impact of Soul Wining on church development in Nigeria. To begin, Nigeria has a sizable Christian population, so any research into the effect of Soul Wining on church growth would be useful for both pastors and politicians. 1.7   Scope of the Study

The study examines the effect of Soul Winning on Local Church Growth in Lagos, Nigeria. This study will be carried out among the members House on the Rock, Lekki-Epe, Lekki-Epe State, Nigeria.

 1.8   Operational Definition of Terms

Soul Wining: Soul Wining can be said to the spreading of the Christian gospel or witnessing for Jesus Christ.

Growth: Growth is the increase or expansion of the Church in numbers and other ways.

Church: Church is a particular physical location where people gather to worship God.

Members: Members are the congregant in a local Church.
